Östersund Library is now looking for an engaged librarian to join our media group team, with a focus on children and young people. The media group works with, among other things, media acquisition, collection review, and highlighting the library's collections. Here at our libraries, we do more than just lend books – we create memorable experiences for children, young people, and adults.

Östersund Library is organizationally part of the Culture and Leisure Administration in Östersund Municipality. The library organization includes a main library, three area libraries, two library buses, and a school library center. Your responsibilities

With us, you will have the opportunity to:

• Work with acquisitions and collection reviews.
• Help visitors find their way among the shelves and guide them to new favorite books.
• Provide digital support and guidance to strengthen our visitors' IT skills.
• Staff the library and meet visitors of all ages.
• Work evenings and weekends according to schedule.
• Collaborate with colleagues.

Your qualifications

Requirements

You have a degree in Library and Information Science.

Merits

• You have good literary knowledge and enjoy everything from classics to the latest releases.
• You have digital knowledge and feel comfortable working with various digital tools.
• You have experience working in a library.
• You have experience with acquisitions and collection reviews.
